I'm Dean Benard
For the last 30 years of my life, investigating has been my passion. I have conducted thousands of investigations in both the regulatory and workplace environments. From policing to regulation to starting my own investigations firm in 2004, I have lived a career that is focused on getting to the truth.
My involvement in teaching started in 2003 when I began guest lecturing in various post secondary school courses in criminology, investigation techniques, and principles of investigations. I then developed my own course materials and this led to providing courses to thousands of people over the next two decades. I have served as an expert reviewer of investigations to assist legal counsel in litigation, contributed as an expert to investigation standards for regulators and associations, and developed and been on the faculty for various investigation programs.
My YouTube channel and Excelsior+ App (available on Apple and Google Play) have provided and continue to provide free access to a wealth of information.
